EQUINOKS 2123 — WHO ARE WE

Our founder and General Manager, Mr. Orhan Ekin ATLIMAN, graduated from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, in January 2000. His first interaction with design was the “t square”, white drawing paper, 2B and HB pencils, divider and set of different types of rulers. He took a computer-aided design course for beginners with AUTOCAD 12 in year 2002 in search of a job abroad. After completing his MBA with a concentration in finance at Montclair University, New Jersey, USA, he returned home and started working as a Project Engineer on his first project. Meanwhile, he got involved in CAD design once more and sharpened his skills so he could contribute to structural shop drawings on his first project abroad, where he worked as Assistant Quality Control Manager, Assistant Health & Safety Manager, and Project Engineer simultaneously. After his military service, where he continued performing his engineering skills, he worked as Project Assistant Manager and Project Manager for international design-build projects. He then took responsibilities as Project Development Manager, Submittal Manager, Contracts and Procurement Manager, Business Manager, Construction Manager, Deputy General Manager, and General Manager at international construction, architecture, and engineering companies—taking in all aspects of the construction sector at different positions. This created a wider vision and greater managerial skills which he brings to his own company. His geographical network and projects include countries from Europe such as Kosovo, Serbia, Germany, Lithuania, Hungary, Ukraine, Poland to Middle East (Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Qatar, Kuwait), jumping to Africa (Lebanon, Tunisia, Mozambique, Ghana, Uganda, South Africa), Asian countries (Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia), and Atlantic Ocean island countries such as Grenada, Haiti, and Bahamas. His network of architects and engineers as consultants, freelancers, and subcontractors, along with local company partners in survey works and multi-disciplinary design, gives Equinoks 2123 the opportunity to perform engineering and architectural services as a collaborative team effort of different nationals—creating sustainable projects aligned with host nation and international codes. His work ethic prioritizing quality and timely submittal before cost, combined with collaborative leadership that teaches young generations to become better designers and managers, are pillars of Equinoks 2123 as the company is set to sail to the year 2123.
